Band o Aberystwyth yw’r Gaseg Deircoes, a ddaeth at ei gilydd trwy eu diddordeb mewn caneuon ac alawon traddodiadol Cymru, Lloegr ac yn bell tu hwnt, a’r llên werin a’r hanes cymdeithasol sy’n gorwedd y tu ôl iddynt.

Maent yn canu hen ganeuon am wallgofrwydd, serch, angau, antur a bywyd bob dydd, wedi eu plethu gydag alawon traddodiadol - ac ambell i gyfansoddiad newydd. Gyda dehongliadau bywiog a synhwyrus, harmonïau lleisiol agos a nifer helaeth o offerynnau, mae’r Gaseg Deircoes yn dilyn trywydd trwy hanes werin gydag angerdd ac afiaith sy’n ennill poblogrwydd cynyddol iddynt ledled Cymru a’r gororau.

Oh, the voices! Three excellent, distinctive voices of character that blend remarkably well’

Cylchgrawn The Living Tradition (Chwefror 2020)

Absolutely brilliant … ancient and modern at exactly the same time … I love it!’

Frank Hennessy, BBC Radio Wales (Ionawr 2018)

‘ ... the breadth of their musical talents and gorgeous close harmony singing deserves a much wider audience’

Folk Radio (Tachwedd 2019)

‘Love the new album'

Mike Harding (Chwefror 2018)

Arbennig’

Georgia Ruth, BBC Radio Cymru (Medi 2016)

‘Canny trio from Aberystwyth who understand trad sources be they Welsh or English and give a different spin to the very familiar. They’ve a dulcimer and they’re not scared to use it! Unusual arrangements, atypical instrumental accompaniments mean that songs that you might believe are common currency prove surprising winners in the rise again stakes. You’ll like this y’hear? A winner.’

Cylchgrawn fROOTS (Tachwedd 2016)
